Sunlight

One of my favorite SmoothJazz artists that I love to listen to at CityLite is Michael Tomlinson,
I fell in love with his song "Sunlight..." the very first moment I've listen to it. And I wait and I wait and I wait for them to play it on air. I've tried to purchase the album and rummage through record stores...searching for it at the smoothjazz aisle but it was not there and I've been hopeless for such a long time...so I'm done with the blanktape sagas during Highschool...then came the CDs era...hmmm I have my Greenhills buy of smoothjazz selections but it's still different hearing it on the radio. There are also two songs that I really like from him...another one is Highway Rain and also Dawning On The New Day. I could just listen to his songs all day...he just have this soothing voice...[sayang medyo napasarap sya sa pagyodel sa acoustic version na'to]

Who are you by Bill Cantos

I guess I could say I grew up, or probably matured? living by myself (well, I had my lola with me) but practically, I was just alone...
I never had a chance of sharing a room with a sister. So mostly, I am the kind of girl that loves to lock myself in my room...and boom...I guess, the only luxury I can afford by that time is to listen to the radio.
Gone are the days of purchasing blank tapes...waiting for your favorite song to be on the airplay and hit the record button, praying that the DJ won't do ad libs...and you cursed (Grrr...) once he did.
I grew up listening to these stations...especially Monster Radio RX...and I prefer Tom Alvarez to be my favorite Disk Jockey on the station...plus some other favorite radio stations too like K-Lite, where even while fast asleep. I know I heard them play Dreamwalking by Lee Ritenour and Eric Tagg...and yes Crossover. But the one that I miss the most which is no longer on air is CityLite. It's my preferred smoothjazz radio station. It's pretty tranquil without all the brouhahas of advertising, plus they play all the songs that I like since Crossover is more in tune with the Classic types... and this is my little eulogy for the station.
I've been looking for this song by Bill Cantos for such a long time now and I am SO glad that I found it on youtube. I have some other songs that I miss listening to but I couldn't find them online. I guess the disadvantage of CityLite being a tranquil station is that I don't get to learn who the artists were. But I am not going to stop searching. I am going to post some of my favorite jazz songs that I like...praying I have the time

Anna's Daughter by Hensley Banzales

i.

Little girl, I can see your smile,
a mile long from where I stand.
One of the most beautiful beam
I have ever seen from a child.
Keep smiling for Anna
Keep smiling for us.

ii.

You have puppy eyes that calms
strangers from the nearest of distance
like us, the friends of your Mom.
Has anyone told you,
your fragile eyes
can translate happiness?

iii.

Remember: your unworded hello
made us happy, made us soft;
Like any adult who keeps forgetting
that once, he or she was a child.

my halaya

way too late for Christmas...never had a chance to really blog some things...I know I can never reproduce mama nene's halaya, although, making some makes me feel that her spirit is with us during Christmas.

a view of the first morning light

I am so late on posting these...I had the chance to clean my malagubat room...applying floorwax and the works...sorting out throw aways. I had the chance to take photos too.I'll name these photos...exhibit ABC of cleanliness
I love my smiley pillow :)
I had the chance to do zadee's school notebooks too :)

"when all of my clothes feel like somebody's old throw aways, I don't like it..." ~froufrou playing dress-me-ups, this is the only decent dress and my one and only imo

Paperbacks

There are no new stories. It all depends on how you handle them. In romances the characters are going to fall in love with each other; you know that when you see the syrupy cover. It's how they get there that's the fun." ~ Jude Deveraux
I think I graduated from reading Jude Deveraux...although, I still have some of her books that I bought unread. These two are special to me, The Princess was a gift from my lola on my College graduation and The Conquest is a gift from my Mom...plus these two are my most favorite novel she did...

Anna by Howard D. Moore

Anna
you make such delicate marks

like script upon the skin of water
music notes within a waterfall; a sound
borne within the horn of a curling wave
a quiet, insistent rush...

a gentle touch upon the world
and you ask so simply, for the freedom
to give what you will, across the gap of time
to reach across distance and to flow

like cloud upon wind, join like breath inhaled
as spirit and body ...the love and the loved
in the filmy web of life, to find a place of meaning

you write upon the waters
and it remembers.

this poem is written for me by an AP favorite Peteskid
I am so very thankful; and surprised
