les roses oranges dans mon jardin

my roses didn’t bloom with their usual size, probably because, it's too hot
this season and I never thought Bukowski would be writing about roses, oh well...
thanks Ken for the french translation :)

"We are like roses that have never bothered to bloom
when we should have bloomed and it is as if the sun has become disgusted
with waiting."

~ Charles Bukowski

leap of faith...

I know I was still in gradeschool , when I first got to listen to this album.

I remember Papa Yeye bought it with me at SM North's record store, he had a very huge influence with my music preference.

and boy I am glad he did. I even wanted to have it for myself. He didn't know that I was playing it whenever he's not around just to get to listen to my favorites

until one day the deck tape started acting up...I was so frantic I can only salvage it with a scotch tape...I was waiting for him to confront me although that never came. buti na lang, hehe

And yes I am a Loggins fan...from then on. I would squeal whenever a song from him is played on the radio, back when the LS station isn't into its 'tugs tugs tugs theme', hay sell out!

and yes I was so jealous with Geneva Cruz when she performed my most favorite song with him

during his concert here. oh I wish I was the one singing instead with him. And yes, this song, his song... I would do anything, I'm just in love with this song, and who would've thought Sheryl Crow could sing as enchanting as this, far from her rock star image. And yes I love Sheryl Crow

I Would Do Anything by Loggins, Kenny on Grooveshark

and oh, I also love this song from the album...actually I love the entire album

Sweet Reunion by Loggins, Kenny on Grooveshark

those little sweet nothings...

The last time I went to Manila, was October, just to renew my PRC license…and that was it!
I went there yesterday to visit my cousins leaving for the U.S. this 15, and I am going to miss them, terribly, I was practically their Ate...I spent my College days living with them after I left the apartment I've been renting. It will always feel surreal going there...and now I feel like I could get lost with its busy streets and highways. And so many malls now that have mushroomed the city.
So, it was my first time, stepping inside Trinoma, wala lang, probinsyanang probinsyana na,where back in College, I could walk back and forth from SM North Edsa's mall to Annex like it was an extension of our University's corridor and crossing Quezon Ave's road is more like the death defying stunt on The Bourne Legacy, just to get a ride on a California Bus Lines, MRT, where were you during College days?

so we were at Trinoma, and Zadee asked, Mama let's eat, my treat. so she had her aguinaldo from her ninang Jac, wow libre ako ng anak ko. opening her little Hello Kitty purse and handing me the money to order...and during our meal, she suddenly told me, on our little conversation, when I grow up and work, we'll go to places we've never been and I'll buy you a purple dress and some pretty shoes...and we will eat all the food that we like to eat. haha.
It's amazing to listen to her little dreams... like they're almost becoming real

especially when she dreams for you...(for me)

you always make me proud...

Congratulations Zadee
Mama is proud of you :)
